the restorer…

September 11, 2011

Joel 1:4 What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

Imagine such grave destruction
In the beginning that was what happened
Nothing was left behind
Everything was taken
Plundered
Desolated
Desecrated
The little evils took away
Ate away very slowly
Until nothing was left.
They ate away at the fabric of your heart
All the things you went through
But you know what?
All you lost
All that’s gone
The things you think you won’t have anymore
The wealth that has gone
The things you had that you can’t find anymore
Well..this is what happens next..
God steps in and VOILA

Joel 2:25
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you

He’s restoring
The years you sowed in tears
Restoring you back to your exalted position as his son.
A prince of the heavenlies
A child of zion.
He’s taking you back to where you first met him and the power of his resurrection
That same power that raised Christ from the dead is working in you to restore your glories
Everything that was taken will be returned to you.
Grace will overflow from your bounty
Fresh produce will never lack in your hands
Yes,God is giving you the oil of gladness once again.
Once again he’s going to step in and turn things around.
No one will recognise you when he’s finished
No one can imagine how the end product will be until he’s done.
He’s got your grand plan all hatched up in there
He holds you.
In the palm of his hand
Why worry?
Why fear?
